As the Manager, Personal Banking, you are responsible for delivering the identified business results for the retail branch through direct and indirect supervision, leadership, and coaching of the personal banking team. You will manage the personal banking team by developing and coaching, setting individual goals and objectives, tracking performance metrics and providing ongoing performance feedback. Additionally, you will be managing the operational duties of the personal banking team and providing expertise on product and service offerings and approve loans in excess of staff lending limits. You will conduct regular sessions with team members pertaining to product training, career goals, and personal progression, and lead area staff, while supporting the implementation of the annual business plan for the branch. Other responsibilities of this position include reviewing processes and making recommendations for areas of concern and/or process improvements to increase operational effectiveness and manage controls and risk management processes and practices, implementing policies, procedures and audit control standards to ensure compliance to all services and best practices standards to mitigate risk; resolve risk management problems as they relate to security issues such as robbery or fraud, participating in the recruitment of branch staff, and seeking opportunities to promote the organization and to develop personal business, refer sales opportunities and new contacts to appropriate staff.
As part of these responsibilities, the following key performance areas identify the major accountabilities related to the position and will be evaluated regularly. The specific results expected in each key performance area will be developed and agreed to by the incumbent and the Branch Manager.

- 6 - 8 years experience in consumer lending/credit or investment.
- Completed a relevant certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
- Completion of required Member Management course: Good Connections, Service Experience, Sales Approach, Handling Complaints, Investment Services, and Sales Negotiations.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and easily learn other programs.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
